Professional Disclosure Statement

Sandy DelVillano-Marchi, LMSW

First Step Counseling is an independent, private mental health practice.  As founder of First Step Counseling, my focus is to promote and enhance mental well-being by providing high quality, outpatient mental health services to individuals, couples and families. My practice is based on the Cognitive-Behavior Theory, however other approaches and counseling techniques may be utilized to assist the client in achieving set goals.

Bachelor of Science in Social Work:  Madonna University, Livonia, MI

Professional Background

Having earned my degree in Medical Social Work, I spent many years working in the Health Care field.  I’ve worked with children, adults and elderly clients in assisting them with health related issues.  I later practiced psychotherapy in various mental health facilities, including Community Mental Health.  I began my own private practice in mental health in 2003.
